Airport security
Cape Town airport has a unique Fire and Rescue Simulator specifically designed and developed for training rescue crews. This simulator ensures that rescue teams are trained in fire fighting and rescue operations on the various aircraft.

VAT Refund
Foreign visitors leaving South Africa may claim the Value Added Tax (VAT) on purchases within South Africa back. The goods purchased have to be shown to the VAT Refund Administrator prior to check-in.
The VAT Refund Administrator office is situated on the ground level of the International Departures Terminal.
Airport Parking
The Public Car Park at Cape Town International is equipped with state-of-the-art Pay On Foot equipment. Pay stations are at all the entrances to the parking bays outside each of the terminal buildings. The parking ticket should be paid at these pay points, as you cannot pay for your ticket at the car park exit. .
