Cape Town Car Rental Rates All rates are quoted in Z.A.R. The lowest applicable rate combination will be charged in each case Our discount car rental rates include VAT at 14%. Long-term and special rates on request. Cape Town Airport Car Hire Upon Arrival We will be there to greet you! Please look out for your name on a board. Upon Departure We will drop you at the airport unless it is very early or late. If we cannot drop you off, simply drive into the public parking area at the airport. Do not go to the car rental returns. Lock the keys and the parking ticket in the glove compartment. Ensure that all doors are locked. Conditions of Car Hire Vehicles are hired subject to terms and conditions of our standard rental agreement. A copy is available on request. Drivers Licences The hirer or any authorised driver must be in possession of a valid, unendorsed drivers license that has been in force for a period of two years. Minimum age of drivers is 23 years of age. Extended Hire Periods Extension beyond the originally agreed date of termination must be arranged in advance. Failure to do so means that the rental contract is invalid and insurances will fall away. Kilometres Kilometres are charged from depot and back to depot. Borders No vehicle may be taken over the borders of South Africa. Written permission is required to drive the vehicle more than 500 km's out of Cape Town. Speedometers Speedometers are sealed. If tampered with, all long distance car rental rates fall away and 1000 km's per day will be charged.

Collision Damage & Theft Waiver Collision Damage & Theft Waiver Should a hirer accept collision damage and theft waiver, an excess is payable in the case of damage or theft. Super Cover Should a hirer accept super cover in addition to Collision Damage and Theft Waiver, a reduced excess is payable in the case of damage or theft. CDTW Exclusions No cover is available in respect of the following damage: Theft of radio/tape/CD player if security device was not used. Damage to hubcaps, wheel rims, tyres and glass. Conditions All insurance cover is subject to the hirer not having breached the standard terms and conditions of rental. Sand or Gravel Roads Any damage caused to a Reeds Car Rental vehicle will not be covered if the damage occurred whilst traveling on a gravel or sand road or any other road without a tar surface. Miscellaneous Car Hire Information Baby seats are available for a once-off fee of R100. Delivery and Collection: R70 each way within a 35km radius of our offices. Further distances will be quoted accordingly. Contract Fee: R 35. Additional Driver Fee: R110 per additional driver. Traffic Fine administration charge: R250 per incident. An Accident Damage Admin fee of R350 per incident will be charged should there be any accident or theft damage to the vehicle.
